Copernicus Hamburg: Copernicus Fellowship Programme

Programme Description

Copernicus Hamburg awards fellowships to Eastern and Central European, North African and Central Asian students every semester. The fellowships last about 6 months. In general, the fellowship for the winter semester run from October to the end of March. For the summer semester, they start at the beginning of April and last until the end of September. In the first 3 months of their stay in Germany, the fellows visit the university, in the last 2 to 3 months they complete an internship in a company, a public authority or an organisation.

Copernicus expects the fellows to provide evidence of achievements (through homework, oral or written exams) during the semester. At least 3 proofs of achievement must be provided.
The internship, which the fellows complete during their stay in Germany, is organised by Copernicus together with the fellow. For this purpose, the fellows apply to the respective companies at the beginning of their study visit with the support of Copernicus members. The internship providers are mostly international companies, law firms, authorities or organisations.
